World Membership Badge

This World Membership Badge features the updated World Scouting emblem. The design features the Fleur De Lys as a compass that embodies Scout values, the stars stand for truth and knowledge, the bond is what brings us all together and the circular rope in a central reef knot symbolises the unity of our global movement.

The membership badge is awarded to Scouts worldwide after making their promise at investiture ceremonies. The badge should be worn on uniform as a symbol of belonging to the Scout movement.

Please note: The previous, older design World Membership Badge can continue to be worn by UK Scouts and volunteers. Replacing the current badge is not compulsory, but current members can purchase and wear the new version if they wish.
